Crosses often appear within my work. In this piece I wanted the cross symbol to dominate the surface. The varying shades of blue in each corner help to give the piece some asymmetry. A small amount of course grog as been added to the surface at the bottom of the piece to introduce another texture that could almost go unnoticed.
Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides . Fired to 1140C
