I am really pleased with the looseness of the marks on this piece. Multiple washes of engobe and slip were applied which have left subtle runs and drips. A sprinkling of grog on one side of the piece creates an important contrast between the smoother surface. There is little vibrant colour in this piece but that makes the blue circle more powerful. The stone which was found along the coast here in Cornwall has been fired into the piece.
Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides . Fired to 1140C
