I like the colour of terracotta slip when its fired to 1140C. I want the white marks to be suggestive of the texture of writing without representing actual words. These marks have been achieved with a monoprint technique and some white ceramic pastels. The step in the form that the blue edge creates is an important feature that breaks up the squareness of the form.
Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides . Fired to 1140C
