This piece reminds me of walking around the headland at Godrevy in changeable weather. It is made more dramatic because it is made of black clay which always gives more contrast with the white engobe that's on top of it. Terracotta slip has been brushed on the bottom edge; the drawn yellow line made with an underglaze pencil adds a simple but important contrasting element.
Slab built using black clay with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides . Fired to 1140C
