I like the combination of contrasting marks in this piece. Some are soft with undefined edges while others have sharper edges. Some coloured grog has been rolled into the soft clay slab and these green flecks of colour contrast with the bolder red marks. Most of the surface has a matt finish but there is also an area of glossy white glaze around the top edge.
Slab built with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides . Fired to 1140C
