The 3 more prominent circles on the surface of this piece are made with a black ceramic pastel. Half the piece remains a matt surface while the other half has a clear glossy glaze applied to it. I like the blurring and running effect that the glaze has when it interacts with the pastel marks.
Slab built with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides . Fired to 1140C
