There is a nice background texture in this piece that is created by sprinkling and rolling grog into the soft clay slab before it is constructed. The red circle (or is it a square) is made using a low fired red glaze pastel that I have made. I like my work to suggest non specific places or landscapes. This one evoked a feeling of being sheltered "Under the Hill"
Slab built with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140C
