Experimenting with new forms is an important part of my practice. Forms like this have gone on to influence the direction of a whole new body of work that break down the barriers between marks made on the surface and 3-dimensial forms. I like the way that the blue rectangular piece could have been a shape drawn on the surface that has grown to effect the outline of the whole form.
Slab built with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140C
