The textured surface around the top edge has been achieved using some coloured grog that I have made and sprinkled into the soft clay. A clear, glossy glaze has been applied over this which makes each piece of grog brighter and sharper. Some of the circles have been incised into the leatherhard clay and others have been drawn onto the surface using one of my engobe pastels
Slab built with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140C
