The dark rich colour of the clay body is very evident on the surface of this piece. The dark colour helps to intensify the glossy blue square (window). A thin wash of white engobe has been applied over the whole piece which has enhanced the texture of the surface and made the surface less flat. The red detail around the base is a lead glaze that has been fired to 900 ֯C
Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140C
