When this piece first came out the kiln I felt it was underwhelming and that something was missing. I then used a black pastel to draw the round scribble over the yellow section. The process was quick, but the planning of those marks took much longer. I felt they had to be done quickly but they also had to slightly overlap the edge of the yellow square. This simple addition has really energised and finished this pot.
Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140C
