This piece plays with the form and shape of a cup but is not intended to be used as a cup. The collection of number shapes have been applied by impressing old printing blocks into the soft clay. The larger "2" shape has been applied by spraying slip through a stencil. On the face of it it's yellow but a closer look shows that there is a terracotta slip underneath the yellow that adds depth to the surface.
Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140C
