This piece plays with the form and shape of a cup but is not intended to be used as a cup. The additional piece of clay that could be seen as a handle adds a sculptural element that breaks up the otherwise round form. The small vertical dashes have been added to the surface using a monoprint technique and are partly covered in a glossy glaze that adds an additional tactile quality.
Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140C
