This is a piece that I make by wrapping the clay around wooden blocks. This technique means the clay is supported even when its soft. The type of marks that I can make into soft clay have a loser feel, and I like that the soft clay look is retained in the final piece.
Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140C
