I love looking at maps and interpreting what they say about a place or landscape. This piece seemed to suggest a sort of plan view of a place. It could be a watery bay and the repeat marks represent something more man made. The yellow square is small but so important to the composition. The ambiguous letters (or are they just shapes?) around the top edge are applied with a monoprint technique.
