I like the colour combinations in this piece and the variety of green and blues that have been layered on top of each over. It is made of a gritty terracotta clay which is still visible and works well as a darker base for the lighter slip and engobe colours that have been brushed over it. Most of the surface is matt but the top edge has a clear glaze over it which adds a contrasting texture to the surface.
Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140°C
