I like the composition of shapes and colours in this one. Most of the surface is matt but the blue shape has a clear glossy glaze over it. The white area has a wash of terracotta slip under a thicker layer of white engobe; the addition of some grog and molochite add another textural quality to the surface. There is a line made with a red ceramic pastel over the pink shape; although this is a small addition it is so important in making the colours richer.
Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140°C
