I like making shapes that interrupt the outline of the form of the piece. In this one the turquoise area steps out beyond the edge of the lighter white matt form. Some course grog has been embedded in the clay around the bottom edge which has created a courser texture. The red drawn lines have created an area of focus and these are further enhanced by green and brown monoprinted lines as a base layer.
Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140°C
