There is a suggestion of water in this piece. The bottom edge has a glossy green glaze over layers of engobe and slip; pieces if grog have also been imbedded into the soft clay. The yellow space is not just painted onto the surface but has been added with another piece of clay which makes it more 3-dimensioanl and protrude above the top edge of the form. The dark chalk like marks have been made using an engobe pastel that I have made.
Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140°C
