This piece is divided into sections similar to the way that human intervention has compartmentalised the landscape into fields, tracks and paths. The blue area has a clear glaze over it which gives it a glossy tactile quality. A little bit of blue underglaze has intensified the blue along the edge with the white area. The blue also bleeds slightly into the white area which helps to soften the edge.
