I like this negative space black or white letter design that I have been using recently and wanted to make a piece where this design was larger in scale compared to the size of the pot. This deign questions which are letters and which are spaces, or are they letters or numbers at all? The design was build up with layers of colour and the initial wash of terracotta is still just visible.
Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140°C
