Height 15cm Width 7cm Depth 5.5cm

I used a gritty terracotta clay to make this one. The terracotta colour is still visible under the layers of white and coloured engobe and underglaze that have been applied over it. The bottom edge has a clear glossy glaze over the textured clay giving a contrasting tactile quality compared to the rest of the surface which is more matt. The colours have a calmer feel which suggested the more sheltered footpaths slightly more inland and away from the more exposed coast.

Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140°C
