I like seeing the changing colours in fields as the seasons pass. Sometimes unusual and completely unplanned colours can be seen next to each other. This piece was influenced by seeing a pink field with green around the edge; the 2 colours worked so well together that I had to make a piece of work about the experience of seeing it. The white square in the pink area was made using an engobe that produces a dry crazed surface and it’s outlined with a red ceramic pastel line.
Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140°C
