There is an absence of white space in this one; instead pink and green are the dominate and contrasting colours. The indented marks that cross from the pink area into the dark part where made by simply tapping a pointy piece of wood into the soft clay. Although it’s predominantly green and pink there are important areas of dark and a terracotta slip under the green which helps to create a rich surface. The white shape has been made with an engobe that crazes to create a cracked slightly peeling look.
