Height 10cm Width 9.5cm Depth 5cm
This is the smallest piece in the exhibition. The idea for the form actually came from looking at the shape that I had cut out from another piece of clay. I liked the circular overhang at the edge which informed the (not quite circular) circles that I drew on the surface. The bottom of the narrow ends have been extended a little which also turns them into feet that raises the piece up and creates a gap underneath it.
Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140°C
